The How to Guide to Save our Ozone Layer

In 1985 international action was taken to stop the release of Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s), after the realisation of their harmful effects on our atmosphere, specifically the whole that was created above Antarctica.

Recent reports indicate that the whole in the Ozone Layer is starting to close because of the stance against CFC’s. NASA are hopeful the hole will closed be 2050 and late last year reported the whole is the smallest it’s been in over two decades.

CFCs are compounds containing chlorine, fluorine and carbon that are released by refrigerators, ACs and other such electronic appliances.

It’s important that more and more people are made aware of the simple ways to prevent CFC emissions in their daily lives. Below is a quick check list that everybody should aim towards to protect our atmosphere;

 

If everybody makes a conscious effort to follow this list, we will reach our goal and create a world hopefully that’s free of CFC emissions .
