The Joy of Green Cleaning - Book Review
Green cleaners can be expensive...and not only that, with all of the green washing that goes on today, who knows if the pricey bottle of all-purpose cleaner you bought is indeed eco-friendly?
Making your own home cleaners is cheap, eco-friendly, and ridiculously easy. With certain types of homemade cleaners, I'm not even sure where to begin in terms of making my own. Luckily, I recently received The Joy of Green Cleaning by Leslie Reichert as a gift.
The Joy of Green Cleaning is a fantastic resource. It's essentially a cookbook filled with ridiculously easy recipes for making your own cleaners. The author, Leslie, offers recipes on how to clean pretty much ANYTHING. Not only are there recipes for things like all-purpose cleaner and laundry soap, but it also has recipes for cleaning more obscure items like high chairs and baby toys.
The recipes include non-toxic and very affordable ingredients, like borax and vinegar. They're simple, effective, and very easy to make.
You can buy the book at Leslie's website (http://www.shopgreencleaning.com/) for $15. The e-book is only $10. Her website has lots of other green cleaning materials for purchase, too.
