California Solar Statistics

California Solar

From Los Angeles, through the San Jose Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Mendocino, and Eureka: the number of solar panels in California is increasing at a faster pace than ever, in part due to the California Solar Initiative (CSI) Rebate Incentive.  We still have a ways to go to meet our ambitious state goals, but the steady increase in solar installations throughout the state is promising. Check out these statistics (compiled by PG&E) on the number of solar installations in California:

Residential Solar Panels:

- Total Number of Completed Projects in California: 26,800

- Total Number of Kilowatts Installed: 129,846.8 kW

- Total CSI Incentive Amount Paid Out: $150,504,847.00

Non-Residential Solar Projects:

- Total Number of Completed Projects in California: 1,473

- Total Number of Kilowatts Installed: 164,838.7 kW

- Total CSI Incentive Amount Paid Out: $343,431,790.00
