California Solar Statistics
From Los Angeles, through the San Jose Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Mendocino, and Eureka: the number of solar panels in California is increasing at a faster pace than ever, in part due to the California Solar Initiative (CSI) Rebate Incentive. We still have a ways to go to meet our ambitious state goals, but the steady increase in solar installations throughout the state is promising. Check out these statistics (compiled by PG&E) on the number of solar installations in California:
Residential Solar Panels:
- Total Number of Completed Projects in California: 26,800
- Total Number of Kilowatts Installed: 129,846.8 kW
- Total CSI Incentive Amount Paid Out: $150,504,847.00
Non-Residential Solar Projects:
- Total Number of Completed Projects in California: 1,473
- Total Number of Kilowatts Installed: 164,838.7 kW
- Total CSI Incentive Amount Paid Out: $343,431,790.00
TOTAL COMPLETED PROJECTS:
- Total Number of Completed Projects in California: 34,815
- Total Number of Kilowatts Installed: 467,883.7 kW
- Total CSI Incentive Amount Paid Out: $705,731,867.00
