Intel is Betting on Renewables

Everyone knows the say, "Put your money where your mouth is." Well, according to a recent CNET Greentech article that is exactly what they are doing.


Intel Renewable Portfolio


Intel is investing $10 million into five energy start-ups spanning the globe. The five, in no particular order, are as follows;CPower, a New York company offering energy efficiency services to commercial clients, Grid Net, makers of network management smart meter software for utilities, iControl, a company combining home security and energy management, Convey Computer, high order, energy efficient computing with Xerox processors, and Powervation whom build efficient power controllers for computers and communications equipment.


This funding comes directly from Intel's venture capital arm and seeks to diversify an already deep portfolio in green companies.
